Self Referral to Talking Therapy and Counselling

Did you know that if you are a Medicus patient and you’re over the age of 16 , you do not need to see a GP or obtain a referral to access Therapy or Counselling services?

If you are a Medicus Health Partners Patient, you can now access the local NHS services directly, without seeing your GP first. These services provide specialist help and support for a range of situations and conditions. Please make contact if you think this service would help you, by visiting the website or calling for support if you do not have internet access.

NHS talking therapies are also known as Improving Access to Psychological Therapies or IAPT services.

This is a confidential Service, there are therapists who speak a number of languages and interpreters can be provided.

Therapy can take place:

  • Online
  • On the telephone
  • Or face to face

Let’s Talk IAPT is a free NHS psychological therapy service offering support for a range of common mental health difficulties such as depression and anxiety, OCD, PTSD and more.

You can call us on 0208 702 4900. Lines are open Monday to Friday from 8am-5pm.
We are unable to take referrals or book appointments over the phone, please fill in the self-referral form via our website or pick up a paper copy from your GP

MIND brings together expert teams to help support you with wellbeing, advocacy, therapy and advice. They work day and evening so are available when you need them to be.
